Services and experience

PwC is one of Australia's leading professional services firms, with a long history of helping Australia's businesses, not-for-profit organisations and governments assess their performance and improve the way they work.

We have a network of high-calibre Indigenous consultants who we subcontract for relevant projects and commit to use for ICFF activities. Our core network includes ten Indigenous consultants based in five States/Territories, and we have less established relationships with numerous other Indigenous consultants. This PwC/Indigenous partnership brings significant experience in Indigenous affairs, feasibility assessment, governance/contractual arrangements and training delivery.

Feasibility assessment of carbon farming projects

Feasibility Assessments are critical to the success of any project, they must identify the risk and benefits of the project and set the base line for project delivery and returns. Our partnership has significant experience in helping clients to define and assess the feasibility of proposed projects, both big and small.

Advice on the Carbon Farming Initiative

The ICFF enables Indigenous land managers to earn carbon credits by reducing emissions or storing carbon. We bring direct experience in this area - a recent example is our Indigenous subcontractors advising several Aboriginal Land Councils about their eligibility for funding and feasibility of proposed projects.

Development of governance and contractual arrangements

Governance/contractual arrangements must reflect the needs of the organisation and context in which it operates. Governance arrangements must both mitigate risks and support strategic goals. We have extensive experience in this area - a recent example was recommending a governance structure to support the Australian Indigenous Governance Institute's Business Plan.

Provision of training

Effective Training provision is tailored to the needs of the specific audience and provides relevant information in an engaging and understandable manner. We have a long history of providing effective and engaging training, including to Indigenous organisations and communities - a recent example by our Indigenous subcontractors was delivering Capacity Building Workshops across the Pilbara region for the Western Australian Aboriginal Education and Training Council.
