Regional NRM Planning for Climate Change Fund (Stream 1)

Stream 1 successful projects

The Australian Government has approved over $24 million worth of grants for Stream 1 of the Natural Resource Management Planning for Climate Change Fund. Regional natural resource management (NRM) organisations will be supported over four years to update existing regional NRM plans to guide planning for climate change impacts on the land and to maximise the environmental benefits of carbon farming projects.

A total of 53 successful regions will incorporate climate change and adaptation approaches into their existing NRM plans.

The resulting updated regional NRM plans will be capable of guiding where carbon bio-sequestration opportunities exist and climate change management actions should occur in the Australian landscape.
