Emissions Reduction Fund

The Emissions Reduction Fund is the centrepiece of the Australian Government's policy suite to reduce emissions.

The Emissions Reduction Fund will operate alongside existing programmes that are already working to reduce Australia's emissions growth such as the Renewable Energy Target and energy efficiency standards on appliances, equipment and buildings. The Emissions Reduction Fund will provide incentives for emissions reduction activities across the Australian economy.

The Treasury is seeking comment on proposed exemptions from the Corporations Regulations 2001 for Emissions Reduction Fund participants to simplify the application of the financial services regulations. Comments close 13 February 2015.
