Discontinued export approval - 2012
In February 2012, the Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) and the Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Populations and Communities agreed to allow the export approval for the New and Exploratory Fisheries in the CCAMLR Region to lapse until further notice. Therefore product harvested from the fishery after 15 March 2012 cannot be legally exported. The department is currently assessing AFMA's submission for future export approval for this fishery.
