Accreditation of a plan of management and declaration pursuant to section 33
I, Andrew McNee, Assistant Secretary, Marine Environment Branch, as Delegate of the Minister for the Environment and Heritage, pursuant to subsection 33(3) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act), hereby accredit the Southern Squid Jig Fishery Management Plan 2005, in force under the Commonwealth Fisheries Management Act 1991, as an accredited management plan at the date of this instrument.
Pursuant to subsection 33(1) of the EPBC Act, I hereby declare that actions taken in a Commonwealth marine area that are approved by the Australian Fisheries Management Authority in accordance with the Southern Squid Jig Fishery Management Plan 2005, do not require approval under Part 9 of the EPBC Act for the purposes of subsections 23(1), (2) and (3) and subsections 24A(1), (2), (3), (4), (5) and (6) of the EPBC Act.
