About the report
In December 2000, the NSW Government made changes to the way fisheries are managed in NSW. These changes place increased emphasis on ensuring that fishing activities are environmentally sustainable. The management strategy and environmental impact assessment for each fishery are joined together in a document termed the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the fishery. Its structure is based on guidelines issued by Planning NSW. Comment period closes 18 March 2002.
