The East Coast Inshore Fin Fish Fishery has been granted a short term (three month) extension of export approval under the EPBC Act until 28 February 2009.
This extension was declared in order to allow sufficient time for the report of the Independent Expert Review to be considered. Consideration of continuing export approval for the fishery after 28 February 2009 will begin during December 2008.
A submission to extend export approval will be provided by Queensland's Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries at that time and will be published on this website for public comment.
