In June 2007, the Queensland (QLD) Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries (DPI&F) submitted a submission - Annual Status Report - QLD Mud Crab Fishery (July 2005), Annual Status Report - QLD Mud Crab Fishery (November 2006) and Annual Status Report 2007 - QLD Mud Crab Fishery for further assessment of the QLD Mud Crab Fishery under Parts 13 and 13A of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act). The submission was used to assess the fishery against the Australian Government Guidelines for the Ecologically Sustainable Management of Fisheries. The 2007 Department of the Environment and Water Resources' assessment report considers the submission and associated documents and provides an assessment against the wildlife trade and protected species provisions of the EPBC Act.
