About the assessment report
Kelp Industries Pty Ltd (the proponent) has submitted a document for assessment under Part 13A of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act). The draft document "Proposal for the Harvest and Export of Native Flora" (the submission) was received by the Department of the Environment and Heritage (DEH) in September 2004.
The submission was released for a twenty-eight day public comment period that expired on 20 October 2004. Three comments were received and the Tasmanian Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment (DPIWE) provided a response to the issues raised where appropriate.
