About the report

The Department of Fisheries Western Australia (DFWA) has submitted a document addressing the Guidelines for the ecologically sustainable management of fisheries for assessment under Part 13A of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).

The draft Application to Department of the Environment and Heritage for the Exmouth Gulf Prawn Fishery (the submission) was released for public comment on 7 May 2002. The public comment period ended on 7 June 2002 with six submissions received. DFWA responded to the comments in a letter to Department of the Environment and Heritage (EA) dated 5 August 2002. No changes were made to the submission as a result of public comment.
