About the submission
The Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts (DEWHA) received a submission from Tycraft Pty Ltd for export approval as Wildlife Trade Operation. The application will be used to assess the operation for the purposes of Part 13A of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).
Consideration will be given to declaring the export of Tridacna maxima, Tridacna derasa and Tridacna gigas as specified by the EPBC Regulations 2000, by Tycraft Pty Ltd as a Wildlife Trade Operation under section 303FN of the EPBC Act.
In accordance with the provisions of sections 303FR of the EPBC Act, you are invited to comment on this proposal.
Call for public comments open until 12 August 2010.
