About the report
In August 2007, the Department of Fisheries, Western Australia provided a submission - Application to the Department of the Environment and Water Resources on the South Coast Crustacean Fishery for further assessment of the South Coast Crustacean Fishery under Parts 13 and 13A of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).
The submission reports against the Australian Government Guidelines for the Ecologically Sustainable Management of Fisheries and provides updates on the implementation of recommendations made in the original assessment undertaken by the Department of Environment and Water Resources (DEW) in November 2004.
The 2007 DEW assessment report considers the submission and associated documents and provides an assessment against the wildlife trade and protected species provisions of the EPBC Act.
