About the report
Researchers at the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research (CMAR) undertook a description of the eco-physical systems of the East Marine Region to assist the Department of the Environment, Water Heritage and the Arts in developing an understanding of how the Region's ecological systems function. This report gathers, reviews and summarises the available information to identify and describe the ecosystems, sub-systems, functional groups and relationships, links across systems and large scale drivers of the Region.
The report was compiled with the intention of providing a broad overview of existing information, and limited summaries of existing data, to provide an integrated understanding of the eco-physical systems of the Region and its important features.
