Marine Bioregional Planning

Pelagic maps - National Marine Bioregionalisation of Australia

Department of the Environment and Heritage and CSIRO 2005

About the maps

Pelagic maps show pelagic regions at three spatial scales (Ocean Zones, Water Masses, Seas and Circulation Regimes). Water masses are three-dimensional in nature. We provide two-dimensional maps of slices through Australia’s oceans at different depths. Maps of water masses are available at depths of x,y,z. The maps are available in PDF format (about 100KB each).
