About this document

Prior to 1990 there was little known about the distribution and status of marine turtle nesting around the Northern Territory (NT) mainland coast and adjacent islands. Over the last 14 years extensive aerial and ground surveys for a range of fauna has greatly improved our knowledge of where marine turtles nest within this extensive, remote and inaccessible part of Australia.
