About the application
The department received an application for approval for a permit to kill, injure, take, trade, keep or move a listed threatened species and ecological community in a Commonwealth Area under Part 13, section 200 of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999. The application is to trap and take genetic samples from Grassland Earless Dragon (Tympanocryptis pinguicolla) and to manipulate natural temperate grassland of the Southern Tablelands and NSW and the Australian Capital Territory.

It is proposed that should the application be approved it would be in force for a period of up to five years.
