     Welcome to the ELN Discussion List.  The List is seen as a vehicle for 
     exchanging information between the members of the Environment 
     Librarians Network where all members of the Network require access to 
     the information. 
     
     At the ELN meeting, held in January in conjunction with Online & Ondisc, 
     the possibilities of electronically exchanging serials lists was 
     discussed.  The meeting also proposed the electronic distribution of 
     duplicates lists.  As the most efficient way of multiple distribution we 
     have established this List.  
     
     For those wanting to post their serials or duplicates list it is 
     important to remember that the amount of data that you can post at 
     anyone time is limited by the capabilities of email.  
     
     As a general rule you should not send attachments to the list.  You 
     should also limit the length of your message.  If you have a long 
     serials or duplicates list break it up into smaller logical parts and 
     send them as separate messages.
