[ELN] Updated ELN pages on the web and the demise of the newletter

I have finally finished updated the ELN pages on the web and in the process have added a new section for web OPACs. So far there are only 2 but I would be delighted to add the url of your OPAC to the list ,as I see this list as a useful adjunct to the ELN gratis ILL list.

The ELN home page is at http://www.environment.gov.au/library/eln.html

I'd be happy to add another other useful links which members suggest.

As you have undoubtably already noticed there hasn't been a newsletter for over a year. Because after our corporate restructure, I could no longer find that spare week each quarter it took to edit, produce and distribute the newsletter. I've talked the matter over with Roxanne Missingham, who was the original coordinator of the network, and we have agreed to formally cease the production of the newsletter and use the web and the discussion list to distribute the sort of information that was in the newsletter.

The ELN gratis ILL list has been regularly updated during the period that the production of the newsletter lapsed and I intend to keep it updated regularly. I'm always happy to receive email updates and request for new members to this group. Just email me your details and agree to the gratis conditions for exchanging ILL with other libraries on the list.

For those of you outside Canberra, the Environment Australia libraries, with the exception of the Australian National Botanic Gardens Library, collocated in the Administrative Building, King Edward Terrace, Parkes ACT 2600 in January and February this year. The main reference phone number is 02 6274 1210 and you can email to library@ea.gov.au
