Forests metadata on-line

Lets kick off the ozmeta list.....

To introduce myself and the swag of acronyms,  

--->  I work for the Environmental Resources Information Network (ERIN), 
a unit of the Department of the Environment, Sport and Territories (DEST) 
in Canberra.  I am responsible for maintaining the forests on-line 
service information, and assisting with metadata documentation.  Prior to 
ERIN, I worked for the NSW Department of Land and Water Conservation 
collecting local government metadata for the Natural Resources Data 
Directory (NRDD).  This experience strengthened my metadata and data 
quality interests.

Forests metadata on-line

--->  ERIN has produced a Forests Data Directory (FDD) to store metadata 
relating to the environment and heritage component of the Comprehensive 
Regional Assessment (CRA) process.  The on-line facility allows metadata 
to be entered and browsed based on the ANZLIC core elements, together 
with other forest-related fields related to our data accreditation 
requirements. 

This list of described datasets is growing with the on-going assessment 
of regional forest areas.  Check it out at
