FW: Cadastral standards
I reply to: "When are we going to see some cadastral data standards ?"
etc...
The Intergovernmental Committee on Surveying and Mapping (ICSM) is
developing cadastral standards. ICSM is the peak intergovernmental
committee responsible for surveying and mapping coordination in Australia
and New Zealand.
ICSM agencies responsible for the cadastre in their jurisdictions have been
cooperating in the development of a national cadastral data model and an
associated data dictionary. To facilitate this national approach ICSM has
engaged AUSDEC as a consultant.
Additionally the Public Sector Mapping Agencies (PSMA) has adopted a common
approach to the development of digital cadastral databases (DCDB). The PSMA
is a consortium of State, Territory and Commonwealth mapping agencies
established to provide Census mapping data to the Australian Bureau of
Statistics (ABS).
