Sorry - that was a mistake;  I sent the help message to this list rather
than the majordomo list server.  Thanks for all the offers of help (real
or otherwise)

I have now subscribed as metagroup@ogdc.vic.gov.au, which currently
includes 3 people (below).  The ozmeta-l welcome message suggested new
subscribers introduce themselves, so:

metagroup currently includes:

Wendy Moncur
Ruth Smith

Together we are working on the Geographic Data Victoria (was OGDC) WWW
site and metadata directory (with John Martin).  Our current site
http://www.ogdc.vic.gov.au (static since last October)  will be
significantly upgraded in the next couple of weeks. Although our
organisation name is changing, our internet and email addresses will
stay as is.

Our current tasks include:

1. updating our existing metadata to be fully ANLIC compliant (eg new
keywords!)

2. collecting and verifying metadata on another 150-200 key Victorian
data sets

3. upgrading the search interface, to improve the user interface and
consistency with the current ANLIC standard

4. adding progress maps for the top 20 datasets
