Implementation of the ASDI-L discussion group
ANZLIC has initiated an open e-mail discussion group for sharing
information and views on the development of the Australian Spatial Data
Infrastructure (ASDI).
ANZLIC is specifically seeking responses to its Discussion Paper on
spatial data infrastructures, which was published in November 1996.
This Discussion Paper is available in hard copy from the ANZLIC
Secretariat or in digital form from our WWW site (see below). Our
Web site will also give you access to our Guidelines for Core
Metadata Elements and other material.
You should continue to use OZMETA_L for discussion of specifically
metadata issues. For more general discussions about spatial data
infrastructures and more
specifically the US NSDI, you should refer to the list (NSDI_L) which is
operated by the US Geological Survey. [To join the NSDI_L mailing list,
you can send mail to majordomo@fgdc.er.usgs.gov with the command
"subscribe nsdi_l" in the body of your email message.]
Any enquiries concerning the operation of the ASDI-L Discussion Group or
about ANZLIC and its vision for spatial data infrastructures, can
be directed to the ANZLIC Secretariat (see below).
