Announce: Metadata Search Engine

The DSTC is pleased to announce the availability of a
metadata index and search service.

The Metadata Search Engine (MDSE) both indexes META tags in
HTML documents and provides an attribute-based search
interface to the indexed sites.

The MDSE currently supports the following metadata element
sets:
  Dublin Core
  Alta-Vista/Lycos (Keywords & Description)
  ERIN

We are now asking for sites that use significant META
tag pages to submit your URL to the MDSE to enable to
index to grow and cover a wide range of sites.
(See 'Add your site to the Metadata Search Engine'
on the MDSE homepage.)

Searching is also available but there are limited sites
in the database (so far).

We are also interested in other metadata element sets
that could be supported by the MDSE.
