Meaning behind the AuSSI logo

The logo was developed by Indigenous Design Studio Balarinji.

The logo concept uses leaves in a subtle formation of Australia. Colours indicate green vegetation and sky. The different greens indicate old growth forests and new planting, and the dots refer to indigenous people as the world’s first ecologists.

Who will use the AuSSI logo?

The logo will most likely be used by the Australian Government and State and Territory education and environment authorities participating in AuSSI across Australia. It will also be used by graphic designers at the request of appropriate AuSSI partners.
