The black bream who wants to quit
- the fish is swimming around a seagrass bed in the shallow ocean
- looks for some tasty prawns to snack on
- sees some prawns on the surface and gobbles them up
- theres a few more of these yellowy-brown prawns that the fish eats
- the Black Bream ends up dead, with a stomach full of cigarette butts
The seal and the fishing line
- the seal is frolicking in the shallows and basking in the sun
- catching the occasional fish
- preening fur and socialising with other seals
- the sun is getting hot so another dip is required to cool off
- the seal slides off the rock into the sea and begins to roll around in the water
- feels something on a flipper and tries to pull away
- more fishing line is tangling around the seal's neck
- the seal is trapped in a messy pile of fishing line and cannot swim or feed
- the seal dies of starvation and exhaustion
The dolphin and the fishing net
- dolphin swimming with its group
- feeding on fish and surfing in the waves
- goes further out to sea chasing a school of pilchards
- chasing, eating, chasing, eating.….what fun!
- until snagged in an abandoned fishing net, thrown overboard by a fishing boat when it got too many holes
- two weeks later is found on the beach, drowned, tangled in the fishing net
The turtle and the plastic bag
- a marine turtle swimming and feeding in the ocean
- spots a yummy jellyfish floating near the surface
- eats the "jellyfish"
- that turns out to be a plastic bag
- and it chokes the turtle
