Overview

The Productivity Commission is a government advisory body that conducts public inquiries and research into a range of economic and social issues affecting Australians, including: competition policy, the environment and economic infrastructure.

The Productivity Commission has conducted two ESD inquiries:

• The Inquiry into the Implementation of Ecologically Sustainable Development by Commonwealth Departments and Agencies; and
• The Inquiry into Ecologically Sustainable Land Management.
