Celebrate World Wetlands Day and the official launch of the Newcastle Riparian-Ramsar Connections project.
Local urban waterways in Waratah, North Lambton, Callaghan, Sandgate and Warabrook are linked to Hexham Swamp, the Hunter Estuary and a Ramsar listed wetland of international significance. Restoring the health of urban waterways is vital in the protection of the Hunter Estuary, its wetlands, threatened species and cultural heritage.
Come and hear about our project, meet the project partners and find out how you can get involved. Refreshments will be provided.
