Introduction
The purpose of this paper is to outline the framework for determining Commonwealth environmental water use in the Murray-Darling Basin. The framework is being used to guide decisions on the use of Commonwealth environmental water prior to the implementation of the Environmental Watering Plan (EWP) by the Murray Darling Basin Authority, and will be adapted in accordance with the EWP once that is finalised.
