Assessor Accrediting Organisations

Assessors conducting standardised Home Sustainability Assessments for the Australian Government are required to be registered with a recognised Assessor Accrediting Organisation.

Applying to become an Assessor Accrediting Organisation

Protocol for Assessor Accrediting Organisations

The Australian Government invites all interested organisations to apply to be an Assessor Accrediting Organisation for the Home Sustainability Assessment Scheme according to the following Protocol.

Applications must be submitted in writing to the National Administrator, agreeing to abide by the Protocol, and include detail of the following:

Applicants will be notified in writing of the National Administrator's decision within a period of three months. Approval to operate as an Assessor Accrediting Organisation may be granted with conditions governing the scope of accreditation services that can be provided by that Assessor Accrediting Organisation.

Assessor Accrediting Organisations are expected to be self funded, using fees charged to Assessors to provide services for Assessors. The Australian Government is not expecting to fund the development or set-up costs of Assessor Accrediting Organisations.
