Green Loans

Who is eligible?

To be eligible to apply for a Home Sustainability Assessment or a Green Loan you will need to meet certain conditions.

An overview of the requirements is provided below. Full eligibility details are available in the Green Loans Program guidelines.

Home Sustainability Assessment conditions checklist
An applicant must be:
Aged 18 or over Check box
An Australian citizen, permanent resident
and/or an Australian registered charity
Check box
The dwelling owner, a trustee or renter listed on leaseCheck box
Have an income below $250,000Check box
The house/property being assessed must:
Be in Australia or its territories and be a primary place of residenceCheck box
Have been completed and occupied for at least
12 months (not necessarily by the applicant)

Householder Terms and Conditions
Prior to the assessment, householders must agree to the terms and conditions in the Householder declaration.

Green Loans conditions checklist
A Green Loans applicant must:
Have undertaken a home sustainability assessment Check box
Satisfy the lending criteria of a participating Green Loans
program financial provider

The Green Loan must be for:
Actions recommended in the home sustainability
assessment report as provided by an accredited assessor

The house/property listed on the report Check box
