World Heritage Education Program competition closing date extended!

To celebrate the inclusion of the Australian Convict Sites in the World Heritage List, the closing date for Australia's World Heritage Education Program schools web design competition has been extended.
Entries now close COB Friday 15 October. Winners will be announced Thursday 11 November 2010.

From shackles and irons to world icons

Eleven Australian sites that tell a universal story of the convict experience have been given the world's highest heritage recognition: inscription on the World Heritage List. Together the sites from New South Wales, Tasmania, Western Australia and Norfolk Island form Australia's 18th World Heritage property.
