Australian Heritage Week has a new home this year on its own web site, designed to make it easier for you to register an event or browse for what's on.

About Australian Heritage Week

Australian Heritage Week is an annual national celebration of Australia's unique heritage. It is an opportunity for all Australians to join together to celebrate our shared and special heritage.

In 2012, Australian Heritage Week will run from Saturday 14 April until Sunday 22 April.

The department encourages all communities to get involved with planning and hosting a range of exciting activities during Australian Heritage Week that showcase your unique local heritage to the rest of the country.

Your Community Heritage Grants Program

Your Community Heritage is a new approach to supporting and protecting Australia's heritage that will enable local communities around Australia to celebrate their local heritage.
