ACT Heritage
ACT Heritage is part of the Department of Territory and Municipal Services, and assists in the conservation of the ACT's heritage assets to ensure their identification, preservation, protection, maintenance and enhancement (where appropriate) for present and future generations.

The Heritage Act 2004 established the ACT Heritage Council as the ACT Government's key advisory body on heritage issues.

Parks, Conservation and Lands
The Parks, Conservation and Lands Unit is responsible for planning and management of parks and reserves. It protects and conserves the natural resources of the ACT, promotes appropriate recreational, educational and scientific uses of our parks and reserves, and maintains the look of the city and its environs.
