Project description
Essential conservation works will be undertaken at five of the properties in Burra. These are: Redruth Gaol, the Bon Accord Mine, the old Courthouse, the Police Lock Up and the Market Square museum. Activities include:
- conservation of stonework
- salt damp remediation
- joinery, floor, roof and drainage repairs
- upgrading electrical services
- internal and external painting
- improved water harvesting
- fencing and bird proofing.
