Burra Conservation Project: outcomes
Benefits of project
The project will deliver direct employment through skilled labour. The National Trust is committed to employing local tradespeople for the works to be undertaken in this project. It also will endeavour to source 70% of all materials used locally.
The project will assist in encouraging local pride in the Burra Passport. As a result of these major restorations, visitor numbers will be sustained and increased, benefiting the community.
