Everglades Garden Stage 2: outcomes
Benefits of project
The National Trust will be employing people from the Blue Mountains and outer Western Sydney regions, thus generating employment in their local community. The project will also be assisted by many local volunteers.
This project will allow people with disabilities to access the gardens and make the property safe for use at night. It will also deliver long term employment benefits through the on-site café. Increased visitation to these on-site businesses will increase revenue, staffing needs and will also flow into the local economy and job market. The increased tourism will also have a beneficial effect in the region.
