Maryborough Outdoor Pool Complex - Leak Eradication Project: outcomes
Benefits of project
The pool is a tourist attraction, drawing visitors to Maryborough and adding to their experience. Many community residents also use the facility, however without this project the pool may not be able to continue operating. By making the complex water-tight and eradicating leaks, it will be able to continue as a vital facility for the local sport and recreation community, and therefore continue to provide economic benefit locally.
A range of employment opportunities will be created by this project. This includes engineering roles in the planning phase, trades people in the implementation phase and pool attendants when the complex is in operation.
