Green Army Service Providers

The Green Army is a hands-on, practical, grassroots environmental action programme that supports local environment and heritage conservation projects across Australia.

Service Providers

The Australian Government has engaged five Service Providers to deliver services as part of the Green Army Programme.

Service Providers will be responsible for recruiting participants, managing work health and safety, providing training, paying allowances and overseeing project management.

The following Service Providers have been appointed for a period of three years, 2014-2017, to deliver the Green Army Programme.

Green Army Programme Guidelines 2014-2017

The Green Army Programme Guidelines 2014-2017 sets out the rights, responsibilities and obligations of a Service Provider in delivering the Green Army Programme and how the programme will operate.

Feedback from the Request for Tender process

The Australian Government invited tenders from organisations across Australia to help deliver the Green Army Programme.

The Department of the Environment has prepared general feedback for organisations that submitted a tender to deliver services as part of the Green Army Programme 2014-2017.

Green Army Draft Statement of Requirements

Consultation

On 21 January 2014, the Government invited submissions on the Green Army Draft Statement of Requirements. The Draft Statement of Requirements document set out the important design features of the programme as well as the proposed delivery arrangements.

This public consultation has now closed. The consultation period was from 21 January 2014 to 4 February 2014.

Submissions by interested parties on the Draft Statement of Requirements closed on 4 February 2014.

Draft Statement of Requirements​

This consultation process provided an opportunity for all members of the community to provide practical advice about on-ground delivery of the Green Army programme including in relation to the recruitment and training of Green Army participants, project management and other administrative details.

Comments from potential service providers and training organisations were of particular value, as was feedback from potential Green Army Project Sponsors (for example community conservation groups, Indigenous groups and local councils) and Participants.
