This report is based on the proceedings of a scientific workshop 'Research needs and information gaps for the implementation of the key objectives of the National Biodiversity and Climate Change Action Plan', hosted by the then Australian Government Department of the Environment and Heritage and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation in June 2005. The report is the product of a collaborative effort by the Australian Government, state and territory governments and the scientific community.
