About the project

Project location: Adelaide, South Australia

Funding recipient: City of Salisbury

Total Australian Government funding: $2,210,000 (GST exclusive)

Water savings: up to 400 ML/yr

The project will form a new supply node to the City of Salisbury's existing recycled water distribution network. The extension of the supply network and the installation of new reticulation pipe through the Salisbury city centre will allow treated stormwater to be supplied to local schools, sports fields and industries.

This project will reduce the impact of urban runoff by providing a catchment wide approach to the management of Cobbler Creek.

Project benefits/objectives:

  • improve water supply security by reducing the demand for potable water by up to 400 ML/yr, and
  • reduce localised flooding in Salisbury South.
