Walks in the Mary River area

The Boulder Creek Walk

This walk meanders through patches of monsoon forest sheltered by the walls of Small Gorge. It features volcanic breccia rocks and you may see Common Australian Crow butterflies along the way.

The Yurmikmik Lookout Walk

This circular walk skirts around rocky slopes to a lookout over the South Alligator valley.

The Motor Car Falls Walk

This circular walk takes you through open woodlands.
An easy walk | 7.5 km | 3 hours


The Kurrundie Creek Walk

This walk begins at the Motor Car Falls. It is a less defined track taking you through the valley.
A moderately difficult walk | 11 km | 5 hours


The Maguk Plunge Pool Walk

This walk leads you through monsoon forest to a small waterfall and clear plunge pool. Swimming in the pools is at your own risk - please see the visitor safety information regarding crocodiles and warning signs.

This circular walk leads to a lookout with views over the old Goodparla Station.
