About the report
Hydrology and suspended sediment data were collected at three gauging stations within the Ngarradj catchment during the 2003–04 wet season as part of a long-term study of the impact of mining at Jabiluka. The two major aims of this report were to:
- assess the applicability of using turbidimeters to monitor suspended sediment concentration within the catchment compared to the more labour intensive technique of conventional water sample collection and processing, and
- determine whether earthworks that occurred at Jabiluka during the 2003 dry season had an impact on downstream suspended sediment concentration.
