National Dioxins Consultative Group

The National Dioxins Consultative Group includes representatives of community organisations, scientific research and industry organisations with an interest in dioxins. An independent expert, and government officials also participate. Under the direction of the Australian Government the role of the consultative group is to:

  1. provide a forum for informed discussion between stakeholders on issues relating to the NDP;
  2. provide advice generally on the NDP that draws on the expertise and views of the stakeholders; and
  3. specifically:
    1. advise on the nature, scope and approach of proposed research into dioxin emissions in Australia;
    2. facilitate contributions of data and advice from stakeholders; and
    3. provide advice and comment on reports, studies, analysis and management options prepared for the NDP.
