Letters are being distributed to the remaining applicants waiting to hear the result of their application.
Households, businesses and community groups that install eligible small-scale solar photovoltaic, wind and hydro electricity systems from 9 June 2009 and haven't already received a rebate may be eligible for Solar Credits.

The Solar Homes and Communities Plan started helping Australian homes and communities reduce their energy use, help the environment and save on energy bills in 2000.
Since November 2007, the program has provided rebates of up to $8,000 for the installation of solar photovoltaic systems.
Program achievements
The Solar Homes and Communities Plan has resulted in:
- The installation of more than 50,000 systems as at the end of September 2009 - a number which is increasing each week;
- 70,000 more installations expected to be completed under the program;
- The funding of more than 11 times the 10,500 systems funded in the first eight years of the program;
- A doubling of accredited solar panel installers over the last year to more than 1,200;
- Five hundred solar installers in training now, with approximately 75 new installers becoming accredited each month.
