Data Limitations

These data show only the courses offered, not how many students are enrolling, how many students are graduating or how many graduates are going on to work in the field. They also do not show whether the geographic distribution of expertise is appropriate, if the courses are adequate in terms of places offered and quality, and analysis of any of the issues or problems.

The number of staff and volunteers in heritage agencies and institutions, the membership of professional bodies as well as the availability of professional courses are indicators of the expertise and skills that are available to heritage managers.
