What the data mean

Heritage management plans are important in conserving heritage sites in Australia’s Antarctic Territory and in ensuring that conservation and restoration work are not done in an ad hoc manner. Heritage management plans have been developed for several locations: Wilkes Station, Mawson’s Huts, Heard Island and Macquarie Island. They are in various stages of implementation including measures implemented against plans which appear still to be unpublished and in draft form.
