Technical reports
These documents were commissioned by the 2006 Australian State of the Environment Committee to provide additional information on subjects where such information was best obtained by commissioning new work. Independent contract authors prepared the reports and the opinions contained within them are those of the authors. They were used to inform and support the SoE 2006 report, Australia State of the Environment 2006 (SoE2006).
The technical reports provide information on subjects where there was incomplete information and where additional information would assist in understanding the state of Australia's environment.
The technical reports provided for SoE 2006 are:
- State of the environment report on human settlements: stocks and flows indicators
- State of Indigenous cultural heritage A survey of Indigenous organisations
- Study of the condition and integrity of historic heritage places
- Waterbirds and wetlands across eastern Australia
