System requirements
The Motor Selector software has been designed to operate on an IBM or compatible 486DX2-66 PC or better, with at least 32MB RAM and an SVGA monitor, Windows 3.1, 95, 98, ME, NT4 or 2000.

Step 1: Download Motor Selector software
- installmsv31.exe - right click on the link, and select Save Target As....
(Version 3.1A - 980 KB)
Step 2: Download the Database
- mselascii.exe - download the database for use with the Motor Selector
The database is also available in MS Excel and in MS Access formats:
- Download as an Excel spreadsheet
- Download as an Access database
Novice and expert modes
If you have not used this program before, it is recommended you begin in the novice mode. It will take you through the motor selection process and help you learn about the program's features. When you are familiar with the software you can change to the expert mode.
Help
You can access a comprehensive help file by pressing F1 or clicking on the help button at any time. Further help is available at the Online help.
Example
To assist you there is a printable example in the help file called 'example'. You can use it to practice using the software. Your results can be compared by loading the file 'example.msl' into Motor Selector.
