Explore and discover Australia's World Heritage Places
An interactive education program featuring Australia's World Heritage Places has been developed for students in years 5 - 10 which focuses on World Heritage values and Australia's 18 World Heritage places. The aim of this program is to inspire students to explore our unique World Heritage listed places and develop an appreciation of heritage values. An understanding of heritage places in Australia and their significance in the world will encourage young people to appreciate them and help preserve them for future generations.
The Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts has launched the Australian World Heritage education campaign to develop students' understanding and appreciation of Australia's 18 World Heritage Places.
Through a range of learning experiences, the curriculum resources will engage primary and secondary school students to learn about Australia's World Heritage Places.
