About the application
The Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities received an application, "Giant clam aquaculture venture, Nhulunbuy NT" from Arafura Aquatic Fish Pty Ltd in February 2013. The application will be used to assess the operation for the purposes of Part 13A of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act). Consideration will be given to:
- declaring the export of Tridacna squamosa and Tridacna crocea by Arafura Aquatic Fish Pty Ltd as an approved wildlife trade operation under section 303FN of the EPBC Act.
In accordance with the provisions of sections 303FR of the EPBC Act, you are invited to comment on this proposal.
